What do MSC FLI’s core values mean to its members?
“Family accepts you most of the time unconditionally, so finding that in college can really make or break your college experience. Finding family in MSC FLI has been great because I know I don’t have to go home every weekend to see people that I love and care about. At the end of the day, I’m going to have someone supporting me.”
“Acceptance means allowing yourself to be vulnerable around people and to be free from worry about people judging you. We are allowed to be who we want to be and we are encouraged to embrace that. I’ve been in a lot of organizations, and I haven’t experienced acceptance in the same way with those groups of people like I have with MSC FLI.”
“[Diversity] is this idea that there is so much more out there than the immediate world we know, and MSC FLI does a great job of addressing issues from all around the world and bringing them close to home.”
“You have the opportunity to make meaningful impact on people in all parts of the world, the country, the state, and the community. Even more, you have the opportunity to directly influence what MSC FLI is going to create to make that impact.”
